Case Studies

Take a look at some of the buildings we've helped create.

Barn construction creating an eco-friendly 4 bedroomed house in Shepreth

The client approached us initially in 2015, and after detailed planning and costing won the contract in early 2016.

The design is a timber frame dwelling with oak cladding externally, timber windows and doors and a thatched main roof with “tin” roofs for the single storey elements.

It incorporates underfloor heating to ground and first floors, ground source heating system and high insulation levels. High quality materials and workmanship have produced a beautiful home which will be affordable to run and maintain

Penrallt Garden Centre - New Retail Shop

The garden centre wanted a large yet simple structure which had to look and feel like the existing building -  all barns and old cow sheds.

The idea was to make it one large expanse with “A” frame trusses and old style render.

Modern electric doors were installed, and plenty of natural light and display lighting ensured it was a bright and clean space in which to sell. It has proved very popular.

Tunbridge Wells - Modern and Eco-friendly, Replacement Dwelling

The client came to us with the plans already passed for the design. It is a striking design, “floating” roofs extending over balconies, lots of glass, fantastic views and light in the building with useable living space.

Ground source heating and high insulation with energy efficient glazing means the property is cheap to heat and warm to live in.

A lot of steel went into the build for support, but none is seen in the finished project.
